Add to the following remarks using but
+ noun/pronoun + the auxiliary or do/does/did. Make a negative addition to an affirmative remark:

Make an affirmative addition to a negative remark:
She can't eat oysters. (I) She can't eat oysters but I can.
Use needn't as the negative of must, and must as the affirmative of needn't.
